So I took off Friday to go to the North Alabama FUM Conference. I really enjoyed myself. There were times of sleepiness and being bored! But there were also times that were really interesting! I learned alot and got the see how the church works at that level, it was pretty cool! There were parts of the conference that lite a fire inside me and made me so excited and left me wanting our church to do more. I am ready to lead the church into the future, we are about to experience change but God has a plan and I think this is part of it that we embrace the change and run forward with open arms!
I got to eat lunch with our now former Paster, his last Sunday was yesterday, it was sad and exciting at the same time. I know that he is moving into a bigger more exciting position and that our church is welcoming a new Pastor... it is a chance for us to grow further in God, all of us! I enjoyed getting to talk with Pastor Kip and learn about his new position, it is an exciting growth for his family!
Friday night I got to eat dinner with our new Pastor, he is young around my Sunday School classes age and I am so excited for him to be coming to our church! I am ready to meet his family and welcome them to the church family! A group of us went to dinner with Pastor Brian and our asoc. Pastor Deniese and her husbad, who is also a Pastor! It was alot of fun getting to know others in the church and getting to know the Pastors on a diff level! I see a bright future ahead!
I would say it was the perfect way to see our former Pastor off and to welcome the new Pastor in! It helped Sunday not be a sad day but an exciting day!!!!
Thank you good Lord for blessing us with Pastor Kip for the past 1.5 we have enjoyed learning your word from him and receiving your guidence through his teachings! Please be with him as he moves forth in his call to ministry. Also dear Lord be with the church and help us open our eyes and hearts to the incoming Pastor and his family. I am excited about this new chapter at AFUMC and am ready to take a lead in moving forward as a church. Thank you dear Lord for the oppurtunity to experince the conference this weekend and to see your work being done throughout Alabama!

Saturday my mom and lil sis Georgia watch Savannah while I went to the conference and while my dad and Jason went fishing!!! It was so nice to get to see them! Then we went out to eat to celebrate mine and my dads Birthday! Then Jason and I headed home to rest, it was a very busy day!!!
Sunday Jason and I went to church then out to eat with some really good friends! I think that their little girl Mabrey and Savannah made plans of their own while the adults planned on heading to the pool after their naps... because both of them woke up very unhappy from naps and non of us ended up at the pool.... BUMMER. But we will try again!!!
We also found out that some good friends of ours are expecting baby #2, she is about 1.5 months behind me!!!! I am so excited!!!!! Congrats!!!!!
So Sunday afternoon Jason and I rearranged Savannah's bedroom and set up her toddler bed. And we found out that the bed did not have a railing on it... uh oh! So Jason and I were worried all night and he really did not like the idea of her just sleeping there with out a side, and he does not think "she" was ready to move into the toddler bed... but I think "he" was not ready! Well I sat up stuffed animals to keep her from rolling right off and placed pillows below the bed... she slept all night last night without falling off!!! She is such a BIG GIRL!!!!! She did very well so I am not as worried! And this morn she did not want to leave her bed!!!!!! I changed her and got her ready for school and then she climbed back into the bed and told me no whn I wouls try to get her down again!!!!! Silly girl!
