It is 3am honey and I think I am having contractions

It is 3am on Sunday Nov 1, our house is a disaster from the party yesterday. My plane for the day is to go to church then come home and we are going to organize Savannah’s gifts…. Oh but wait what is that tightness and pain I am feeling??? 4 mins later here comes another, I know this feeling they are contractions. Today I am officially 37 weeks Full Term and I think Landon is ready.

3am to 7:30am I am having contractions every 2 mins to 20 mins, they timeing is different but eating, drinking and moving do not stop them from coming… Jason says to call the dr so we do not end up there tonight at midnight!!!

8:30am diaper bag with snacks is packed and Savannah is dressed, off we go to St Vincent’s to be monitored. With Savannah I had my water break but this time it is different.

We arrive at 9 am and they hook me up to the monitors, look I really am having contractions, and they are coming more regular now. Landon does not like them he keeps kicking after them… his nice secure home is squeezing him.

The nurse checks me and says there is no progress at all. WHAT I have had many contractions and nothing is happening. My dr comes in and we laugh I say I told you I would have this baby this weekend! Here I am!!! He checks me, and my cervix is high and still turned towards the back, but it is def dialating… I am 2 plus cm and very thinned out… problem though the baby’s head is nowhere near the cervix… bring in portable ultrasound machine…

Sure enough Landon’s head is nowhere near head down, he is high and sideways in me… my dr is in away freaking out at this time, he is pacing around the room, he steps out, comes back in ask when I ate last, steps out again, comes in and with a grime look on his faces says we have to do a c section… at this point I am okay but the fear and anxiety is quickly approaching me… problem I have eaten and now have to wait until 2 pm this afternoon.

Phone calls I call my sister in law and she is headed to pick up Savannah, now calling Jen she has been here she needs to talk to me. Talk to my parents and Jason’s all are headed our way! I am scared, Lord be with me!!!

It is 10 am and I waiting….. It is 11 am and I am waiting…. It is 12 pm and I am waiting…. It is 1 pm and things are starting to roll… they are prepping me. We say bye to our parents as they go to the waiting room.

1:45 they have me in the operation room and Jason is outside waiting, FEAR engulfs me, I am crying a silent cry. I am getting a spinal type… Hey he did a good job… I am going numb and having tuns of weird sensations… still crying. Jason appears by my side…. Thank goodness. We are praying, Jason has his cross from church in his hand, and our camera is ready…

They have warned us that being so early Landon is more than likely going to be small and may not be fully developed… boys are slower than girls at development so his lungs may need some help… I am prepared but upset for Landon to spend a few days in the NICU…

My dr asks us, how big was Savannah 7lbs 7ozs Jason says…. Dr says well he has his sister beat…

He is out and he is crying he is gorgeous. There’s my boy! 8lbs 3ozs 20 and ¾ in long WOW!!! Still screaming over there… no lung problems, he looks GREAT!!!!

4 pm we are settled in our room time for BIG sis to see her baby brother. She kisses him and hugs him, Jason and I cry again for the 15 time today!

Landon Christopher Moore you have arrived. We love you baby boy!!!
